Safety & legality

Download what you have the right to keep

Only public profile pictures are reachable — private TikTok accounts stay private and the tool will not attempt to work around that. Personal use is fine: keeping a reference of your own PFP, saving one for moderation review, or grabbing a friend's avatar with their say-so. Redistributing or commercially reusing someone's profile picture without permission is not — the person in it retains their identity and likeness rights.

Never use a downloaded PFP to impersonate the person, whether by re-uploading it as your own avatar or by using it to build a fake account. Please read TikTok's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Is the TikTok PFP downloader free?+

Yes. When it launches it will be completely free — no hidden fees, no watermarks, no download limits. There is nothing to install and no account to create. Everything runs in your browser, and you can download as many profile pictures as you want at full HD resolution.

When will it launch?+

We are in closed beta and finalising the TikTok profile-picture capture step. There is no firm public date yet, but this page will update the moment the tool goes live. Bookmark it to catch the first stable release and be among the first to grab HD PFPs.

What quality/resolution will the profile picture download in?+

The tool downloads the original asset TikTok stores on its servers — typically 1080×1080 pixels. That is the same file the user uploaded, not the small compressed thumbnail the TikTok app shows in feeds, comments and profile headers. You always get the sharpest version available.

What image format do I get — JPG or PNG?+

You can choose either. JPG is the default and gives you a smaller file — usually around 300–600 KB — with universal support everywhere. PNG is optional and preserves lossless quality plus any transparent background the original asset had. Both formats are delivered at the same 1080×1080 resolution.

Do I need a TikTok account to use it?+

No. There is no TikTok login and no account with us either. Paste a public @username or profile URL, tap Get PFP, and save the file. We never ask you to sign in, connect a social account, or hand over an email address before letting you download the image.

Can I download the profile picture of a private TikTok account?+

No. Only public profiles are supported. If a TikTok user has set their account to private, their profile picture is not exposed by TikTok in a way this tool can reach. Private accounts stay private — that is by design and we do not attempt to work around TikTok's privacy settings.

Will the TikTok user know I downloaded their profile picture?+

No. Downloads happen entirely from our servers to your device — nothing is done inside your TikTok account, so there is no view, follow, or notification triggered on the other user's side. The download is completely anonymous, and the person whose PFP you saved has no way to see it.

Can I download my own TikTok profile picture with this tool?+

Yes, and it is one of the most common use cases. TikTok only lets you view your PFP as a small in-app thumbnail, so if you have lost the HD original this tool gives it back to you in the same 1080×1080 size you first uploaded. Just paste your own @username.
